Your function

The mission of Business Performance is to support management in executing the Ageas Strategy. As Senior Business Performance Manager you are working closely with your colleagues at head office and counterparts in the Business Segments (Belgium, UK, Continental Europe, Asia, Reinsurance and General Account):

Your responsibilities will include among others:

  • Supporting, assessing and preparing the multi-year budget of the group, with a focus on financial, operational and non-financial KPIs;

  • Supporting and preparing a quarterly forecast;

  • Preparing quarterly financial reviews for the Executive Committee and the Board;

  • Collecting, analyzing and synthesizing ad-hoc financial or business information in support of the CFO and the Executive Committee;

  • Acting as a point of contact for the Business Segments for performance management related topics;

  • Challenging the business segments through benchmarking;

  • Ensure quality of data generated, transformed and/or reported during the processes for which you are responsible (in compliance with the Group’s Data Management Policy).

You will report to the Group Director of Business Performance. Your role requires extensive contacts with colleagues at head office, a.o. from the Strategy, Investor Relations, Accounting, Capital Management and Risk departments. In addition you will have frequent contacts with peers in the Business Segments. Part of your career development will consist in pro-actively developing initiatives to support the performance culture of Ageas.

Your profile

  • You have an academic degree in Finance, Business administration or Sciences;

  • You have 6 - 8 years of business experience, preferably in insurance or the financial sector, or experience in performance management/controlling;

  • You are passionate about figures and keen to understand the dynamics of the business;

  • You have a strong knowledge about management accounting and are familiar with IFRS. Knowledge of IFRS17 & 9 is an asset;

  • You have a synthetic mind and are able to translate complex information in a structured and comprehensive format;

  • You have the ability to influence and act as a change agent;

  • You have excellent verbal and written communication skills are and are able to communicate effectively at all levels of the organization;

  • You have very good command of English. Dutch and/or French are facultative;

  • You have proficient knowledge of MS Office Suite. Knowledge of PowerBI is a plus;

  • You are a team player capable of building and maintaining good relationships;

  • You are willing to travel occasionally.
